UPSC IAS Prelims 2021 – Registration begins!! (10 February)

UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2021 Notification will be released on February 10, 2021, by Union Public Service Commission according to the annual calendar. Candidates who are waiting to appear in the UPSC Civil Services IAS Prelims 2021 Exam will be able to register themselves from Feb 10, 2021 onwards. Latest Update-

  1. The Center has agreed to provide an extra chance as one-time relaxation to UPSE Civil Service aspirants who had appeared for their last attempt in the UPSC exam in October 2020.

Eligibility Criteria – UPSC Civil Services 2021

For all the candidates who wish to appear for the UPSC civil services 2021 Prelims exam need to ensure that they meet the basic eligibility criteria for IAS exam.

Nationality

A candidate must be a citizen of India. For all other services the candidate can either be a citizen of India or

  • A subject of Nepal/ Bhutan
  • A Tibetan refugee who came over to India before January 1, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India
  • A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India

  Age Limit for IAS Exam 2021

Candidate must be minimum 21 years and maximum 32 years of age as on August 1, 2021. This means that candidates must have born not earlier than August 2, 1989 and not later than August 1, 2000.

Education Qualification for IAS 2021 Exam

  • Candidates must hold a graduation degree in any stream from any university established under the act passed.
  • Candidates who are in the last year of the graduation and awaiting results are also eligible to apply for IAS preliminary exam.
