CBSE Board 2021: First Time CBSE Allowed Change in Exam Centres by March 25

Students appearing in CBSE Board 2021 Class X & XII can now change their exam centres by March 25. First time in the history CBSE Board allowed change in exam centres by students.

As per CBSE Board, This decision is been taken by CBSE Board due to ongoing COVID19 pandemic. Many students of class X & XII has relocated to some other states or country due to COVID19 and are unable to attempt CBSE practical exam or Theory exam from the respective examination centre from where the students are registered for board examinations. All students who have moved to another city and do not wish to travel back to the city to appear for an exam can and should take advantage of the same.

This notification is issued by CBSE Board on 16th March 2021. CBSE Board took the decision by keeping the state of students in mind.

The students who wish to change their exam centres can send change request to their respective schools. The schools will then upload the status of centre change requests made by students on the CBSE website by March 31.

Students have this option to take practical and theory exams from different cities or centres.

How to Apply for Change in Exam Centres?

  1. All students can request for the change, even those who have been issued roll number for the CBSE Board Examination.
  2. Students willing to change their CBSE board exam centres can request the school they are currently registered with for changing practical or theory exam centre, or both.
  3. For students changing both the theory and practical exam centres, both will be changed to one city only.
  4. Students have to provide the city and state they would prefer to appear in the examination from.
  5. CBSE will not allot different cities for practical and theory exams.
  6. Once schools submit the requests made by students, no change in the exam centre, city or country will be allowed, the board said.
  7. For students suffering from COVID-19 infection and unable to take the practical exams, schools will also be able to make requests for change of city.
  8. The schools will then upload the status of centre change requests made by students on the CBSE website by March 31.

CBSE Board made this decision to help students and minimize the efforts made by students to reach the exam centres. This year CBSE Board took several decision and made changes by keeping the ongoing pandemic in mind, with an aim to impart education to each and every student. SO, all the students who wish to change their exam centre due to relocation can now apply for the same.
