Biology Paper Analysis – Class 12 CBSE Board Term 1 Exam

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) concluded the Class 12 Biology term 1 exam today, December 18, 2021. The exam was held between 11:30 AM to 1:00 PM in an objective format. Read further to know the paper pattern, exam guidelines, number of questions, exam pattern, and further biology paper analysis.

The Class 12 Biology term one exam was conducted objectively following all the CBSE’s guidelines. The students had to reach 30 minutes before the exam while carrying term 1 exam admit cards and following COVID safety measures was a mandate.

The students who gave the exam gave feedback saying that they were happy with the exam and the paper was based entirely upon CBSE Sample papers. The teachers also reviewed the paper and informed about the satisfaction.

According to the student’s and teacher’s combined feedback, the exam was easy, and the questions were straightforward from the NCERT. It must be noted that the answer keys for the remaining exams will not be sent to the exam centres anymore, and the OMR Sheets will be sent to the board to assess all the remaining papers.

Following were the features of Class 12 Biology term 1 exam paper

  1. The paper comprised three sections, namely, Section A, Section B and Section C. it was necessary to attempt all the three sections; however, there were internal choices between the questions.
  2. Section A & B comprised 24 questions each, while section C consisted of 12 questions.
  3. In sections A & B, 20 questions were to be attempted out of 24 questions in each section.
  4. In section C, 10 questions were attempted out of 12 questions.
  5. Each question was allotted equal marks with maximum marks = 35.
  6. There was no provision of negative marking.
