Preparation During Exam Time

  1. Make short notes on Theorems and Formulae: As we all know Mathematics is all about theorems, formulae and concepts. So, it is always good to keep them handy so that you can read and brush them up before your practice test or exam time.
  1. Solve Problem by Yourself: It is good to go through different types of problems by yourself. Make the best use of NCERT textbooks and learn each concept given in it by self-study. Solve all the exercise problemsย given at the end of each topic for at least 3 – 4 times over the course of time. It will help you to understand the theories and concepts more clearly.
  1. Understand the Syllabus: Understanding the syllabus is very important as it helps to decide the amount of time that you need to spend on each section or topic to plan a proper study-schedule. This means if any topic or section carries less marks then spend less time on its preparation. Know the weightage of each and every topic from MTG CBSE Champion class 12 and plan your study accordingly. Also, read our previous article on recently released CBSE Sample Papers and their marking schemeย to get an idea about the important topics according to the weightage of marks given to each of them.
  1. Solve Practice Papers: It is always advisable to solve respective questions of a topic while studying it. It will help you to gain more confidence and perfection in solving Mathematics problems. For this, you should refer to the most recommended Mathematics booksย which will give you an ample number of practice papers along with easy recapitulation of concepts. You should also solve each and every problem given in the NCERT textbook and Exemplar Problemsย as many of these problems directly or indirectly are asked in the Board.
  1. Clear Out Your Doubts: While solving any question if you come across any doubt and unable to solve it then it is necessary to clear it out at the first place before jumping to the next question. Leaving the doubts uncleared over a period of time may trouble you in solving them later.
  1. Practice a lot: You cannot become a master in Mathematics in a day. You have to practice a lot because without practice you cannot do anything in Mathematics. As it is also said that โ€œPractice makes a man perfectโ€. So, keep practicing and for this, solve numerous sample papersย and Previous Yearโ€™s papers. This will improve your Mathematics problem solving skills and also help in managing time during the actual Board exam.

During Examination

  2. Draw Graphs and diagrams: Draw neat and clean graphs and diagrams wherever required. This can fetch you full marks in that particular question. For this, you need to do a good practice of graphs and diagrams in order to draw them precisely during exam.
  3. Solve the known problems first: During the examination, first finish all those questions which are more familiar to you. If you come across any difficulty while solving any question then do not waste much time solving it repeatedly. You should leave that question and proceed to the next one. This will save your time to complete the rest of the paper within the stipulated time frame.
