BITSAT 2020 Registration Open – Check Important Dates, Syllabus, Exam Pattern & Eligibility!

The admission authority of Birla Institute of Technology and Science, BITS Pilani has released the application form for BITSAT 2020 exam. The application form is available online and the candidates can apply for the exam in the online mode only. The interested candidates are requested to apply through the same on the official website i.e., bitsadmission.com. The last date to submit the application form is March 20, 2020. The exam is scheduled to take place from May 16 to May 26, 2020.

BITSAT 2020 Application Fee:

The application fee is as follows:

Males Candidates – Rs 3300

Females Candidates –Rs 2800

Applicants Opting Dubai As Exam Centre  —  Rs.6300 (US$90)

 Mode of Payment – Candidates can pay the application fee in the online mode only. Following are the available mode of payments for the BITSAT application fee payment:

  • Debit Card
  • Credit Card
  • Net Banking

BITSAT 2020 Eligibility:

  1. Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent.
  2. The mandatory subjects that the candidates must have studied at the 10+2 level are Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and English.
  3. Only Students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2020 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2019 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT-2020 test.
  4. Students who have passed 12th examination in 2018 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT-2020.
  5. Direct Admissions to Board Toppers– BITS Pilani give direct admissions to all the first rank holders of the state or central board. They can take admission in any program as per their choice and BITSAT exam scores are not considered for their admissions. Further details about this scheme will be available at BITS admission website by 15th of May 2020.

Syllabus of BITSAT 2020:

The BITSAT 2020 will be conducted according to NCERT syllabus for 11th and 12th class. Candidates may refer to the NCERT textbooks for the contents.

BITSAT 2020 Exam Pattern:

The exam pattern of BITSAT 2020 is as follows:

Mode of the exam: Online

Objective Exam – MCQ type question.

Time duration – 3 hours (180 minute).

Total Questions – 150

Marking Scheme: +3 for each correct answer and -1 for each wrong answer

NoteIf a candidate answers all the 150 questions (without skipping any question), the candidate will have an option of attempting 12 (twelve) extra questions, if there is still time left. These extra questions will be from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/Biology only; four questions from each part. Further, once the candidate has opted for extra questions, he/she cannot go back for correction of any of the earlier answered 150 questions.
