CBSE Board, JEE Main and NEET Exams 2021 will be based on Reduced Syllabus โ€“ Education Minister

In the latest Live Interaction with students and teachers of Kendriya Vidyalaya, Union Education Minister Mr Ramesh Pohkriyal appealed to all the students to not panic about CBSE board exam. He stated that in the upcoming CBSE Board exams 2021, questions will be asked from the revised syllabus of CBSE.

He further clarified that in JEE Mains 2021 and NEET 2021 exams also, students will be able to get all the questions from the reduced syllabus. So, there is no need to panic for these exams. CBSE and State boards reduced there syllabus of class X & XII due to COVID19. It was a measure taken to complete syllabus on time and help students in the time of hardship.

In the Live Webinar he stated that “The students will only have to study the revised syllabus for their CBSE board exams and other exams based upon CBSE board syllabus 2021 such as (Joint Entrance Examination (JEE 2021) and National Eligibility Cum Entrance Test (NEET). It may happen that the number of questions be increased and choice be given. In this way student will get the required number of questions to be attempted from the reduced syllabus”.

To be noted, Important Dates of CBSE Board exams 2021 for Class X & XII are

  1. Exams between 4th May to 10th June 2021.
  2. Practical exams will begin from 1st March 2021 and continue till the last date of theory exams.
  3. Result Declaration will be on 15th July 2021.

  1. All the Major exams like CBSE Board 2021, JEE Main 2021 and NEET 2021 exams will be based on the reduced syllabus of CBSE Board. The number of questions may be increased to give choice to students.
  2. He urged students not to panic and stay focused on studies.
  3. He discussed the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, exams, and reopening of schools among others. Mr. Ramesh Pokhriyal said that Kendriya Vidyalaya will reopen soon in phased manner. The offline classes would be resumed in the schools along with the online classes across the country.

  1. On travelling concern of Students in COVID time, he clarified that the NEET 2020 and JEE Main 2020 exams were also conducted by the government successfully across the country. So students should not be worried about that and concentrate on their studies.
