CBSE Class 10 Social Science 2019 – Paper Analysis & Review

Class 10 Social Science board exam was successfully conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) on 29th March 2019. This was the last paper of CBSE Board for class 10 students. The exam started at 10:30 AM and continued till 1:30 PM. The examination was conducted smoothly by CBSE without any interruption.

Examination Pattern & Marking Scheme

CBSE Class 10 Social Science paper consisted of four sections viz. A, B, C and D which contained 26 questions of total 80 marks.

Scheme of Choices:

All sections were compulsory, and students needed to attempt all the sections. There were more internal choices in questions as compared to the last years. So, students were at advantage to choose the one which they were more confident about and secure good marks in their Social Science paper.

Feedback of the students

CBSE Class 10 Social Science paper concluded with a sigh of relief for students this year. Most of the students who appeared for the exam were found satisfied with the exam paper. Check out the few points from the feedback of the students.

  • The paper was easy in difficulty level.
  • Section B was a little tricky and lengthy, especially questions related to Political Science.
  • Most of the questions were based directly from NCERT.
  • Map question were very easy and direct.
  • The paper was easier than last year.
  • There was a typo error in one question of section B where 1930 was mentioned in question in place of 1830.
  • There was nothing out of syllabus in the paper. All the questions in the paper were asked from the latest CBSE 10th Social Science syllabus.
