JEE Advanced Counselling 2021 – Know Procedure, Cut-off & Document Required

The Result of JEE Advanced was released on Friday 15Oct 2021 by IIT Kharagpur and students are getting ready for JEE Advanced Counselling 2021. Candidates can check their results using their roll number, registration number, and date of birth from the official website. With a total of 1,41,699 participants that appeared in papers 1 & 2 in JEE Advanced 2021, only 41,862 have qualified. Of the total qualified candidates, 6452 are females. According to Common Rank List, Mridul Agarwal from IIT Delhi bang on the highest position, achieving a historic score of 348 marks out of 360, and Kavya Chopra of IIT Delhi, within the female category with CRL 98, has topped with 286 out of 360.

JEE Advanced Result includes details includes rank secured by the candidate in the common rank list, All India ranks (AIR), subject-wise scores in both papers 1 & 2, total positive marks and total scores.

JEE Advanced Counselling Procedure at JoSAA

Candidates who have qualified for the JEE Advanced 2021 are eligible to participate in Joint Seat Allocation (JoSAA) counselling process for admission to secure their seats in IITs. The counselling process at JoSAA will begin from 16th October at 10:00am. Candidates have to fill in their choices of courses and institutes for JEE Advanced Counselling. The JoSAA 2021 counselling registration will start online on October 16 at 10 am. Visit https://josaa.nic.in to get detailed information about the counselling process.

The counselling process does not involve any fee and it will be completed in 6 rounds.

 Note: Filling up the form at JoSAA will not confirm your seat in IITs, it is completely based on merit scores.

Documents Required for JEE Advanced Counselling

During the JEE Advanced counselling, the following documents will be required alongside the self-attested photocopies.

  • The letter of seat allotment.
  • JEE Advanced 2021, admit card.
  • Proof of Date of birth.
  • Identity proof
  • Class XII/SSC/Equivalent exam Mark sheet and Certificate of passing
  • Seat acceptance fee payment proof.
  • Passport size photograph (two)
  • Category Certificate (OBC (NCL)/SC/ST/PwD/DS) issued by the reliable authority.
  • Duly filled Medical Examination Report.
  • An attested photocopy of the page in passport containing name, photo and nationality (for foreign nationals).
