JEE Main 2021 Application Form Correction: Online Window Opens and Here’s How to Do it?

Last date of JEE Main application form filling is over now and it’s time to make corrections in the filled forms. All the JEE aspirants who made mistake or have certain doubts after submitting their JEE Main 2021 application form online can see or change certain information in their form. National Testing Agency is opening the JEE Main application form correction window from 27th Jan 2021 and it will be open till 30th Jan 2021. Therefore, the candidates should make corrections on or before January 30.

The corrections that can be done include name, address, educational qualifications and other information that a candidate have submitted.

From 27th Jan 2021, ‘Apply for JEE Main 2021’ tab will be replaced by JEE Main Correction Window. This is the last chance to do corrections in the errors made. So, a JEE aspirant need to do it very carefully.

JEE Main 2021 Application Form Correction: What Details can be corrected?

  1. Personal Details – A JEE aspirant can change his/her personal details in case of spelling mistake done in filling the form.
  2. Academic Details – An aspirant can change the wrongly filled academic detail in the submitted form.
  3. Change in choice of paper – JEE aspirants are allowed to change the choice of paper i.e. Paper 1 to Paper 2 (and vice versa). Both papers can also be selected for which the candidates have to pay the balance fee.
  4. Language of Exam – The exam paper language is also available to change by the candidate.
  5. Name, State of Eligibility, and Date of Birth – These details will also be open for correction during the allotted time period.
  6. Category – Category change option is also available. If a candidate changes his/her category from general to reserve then no fee will be refunded to the candidate. But, if a candidate change category from reserved to general then he/ she has to pay the balance fee.

How to do correction in JEE Main Application Form?

  1. First Visit the official website of NTA for JEE Mains, jeemain.nta.nic.in and log in using registration number and password.
  2. After login you can see, “JEE Main Correction in Application Form 2021 link”, click it and proceed to make corrections.
  3. Read all the instructions carefully and click on Proceed for JEE Main correction window.
  4. Candidate can now see the complete JEE Main application form.
  5. Do the required changes and click submit button.
  6. Take a printout of the application form after making corrections and keep it safe till the completion of the admission process.

How to correct the uploaded Photo in JEE Main form?

  1. Visit the JEE Main official website jeemain.nta.nic.in
  2. Select the link labeled as “Remove Image Discrepancy”.
  3. Enter the application form number and password to log in
  4. Upload the corrected photo as per the NTA guidelines and click on “submit”

Major Points to Remember:

  1. Any wrong/ inappropriate information filled in the form can lead to JEE Main application form cancellation.
  2. JEE Main correction window will be open for only once before each attempt in February, March, April and May.
  3. JEE aspirant can change certain things in application form. All the information in a form cannot be change.
  4. Certain correction also requires to pay fees which like change in category from SC/ST to Gen/OBC-NCL
