NTA releases NEET UG 2024 answer key: Check here the step-by-step process to download NEET answer key

On May 30, 2024, the National Testing Agency (NTA) announced the provisional answer key for the recently concluded NEET UG 2024. Students who appeared for the recently concluded NEET 2024 exams can download the NEET answer key by logging into the official website โ€“ exams.nta.ac.in/NEET. Apart from the answer key, the NTA has also made public the studentsโ€™ recorded responses. ย Students need to use their application number and date of birth to download the answer key.

Official NEET 2024 Answer Keys Notice

The answer keys notice of NEET are available in a pdf on the exams.nta.ac.in/NEET/, where the answer keys to all the codes of the NEET exam are there. Along with answer keys, question paper and OMR sheet are also provided.

Procedure to download the NEET UG 2024 answer key

Step 1 – Go to the official NTA NEET website โ€“ exams.nta.ac.in/NEET.

Step 2 – Click on the link for the NTA NEET 2024 official answer keys.

Step 3 – Now click on the submit button after filling in your login details.

Step 4 – You will be able to see your answer key on the screen.

Step 5 – Go through the answer key and download for future reference.

Procedure for Challenge of Answer Key

Candidates can challenge the answer key if they find it toย  be objectionable, in case they find it incorrect or more than one answer is correct. To do so, candidates to need to follow the given process:

Step 1 – Please go to website https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET

Step 2 – Click โ€˜Apply for Answer Key Challenge (s)โ€™

Step 3 – Select the Test Booklet Code

Step 4 – Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth and enter Security Pin as displayed and submit

Step 5 – You willsee the following Questions are in sequential order:

Step 6 – The number next to the Question underthe column โ€˜Correct Optionโ€™standsforthe most appropriate Answer Key to be used by the NTA.

Step 7 – If you wish to challenge this option, you may use any one or more of the Options givenin the next four columns by clicking the check box ✔.

Step 8 – You may want to upload supporting documents in which you can select โ€˜Choose Fileโ€™and upload (all documents to be put in a single pdf file).

Step 9 – After clicking your desired option, for Physics/Chemistry/Botany/Zoology for NEET (UG) – 2024 โ€˜Save your Claimโ€™ and move to the next screen.

Step 10 – You will see a screen displaying your challenges.

Step 11 – Click on โ€˜Save your Claim and Pay Fee Finallyโ€™.

Step 12 – Select Mode of Payment and Pay a processing fee @ โ‚น 200/- for each question challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.

Step 13 – After successful payment, download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt

Procedure for Challenge of OMR Answer Sheet

Step 1 – Please go to the website https://exams.nta.ac.in/NEET

Step 2 –ย  Login with your Application Number and Date of Birth and enter Security Pin as displayed and submit.

Step 3 –ย  Select the โ€œOMR Challengeโ€ in the left pane.

Step 4 –ย  Click on the OMR Challenge Link.

Step 5 – You will see the following Questions are in sequential order:

Step 6 – Select Question(s) for which you wish to challenge the Recorded Response.

Step 7 –ย  The number next to the Question under the column โ€˜Captured Response as per OMR Sheetโ€™ stands for the option opted by the Candidates in the OMR Answer Sheets.

Step 8 –ย  Once you select any Question for Challenge, you will see three options under the column โ€˜Candidateโ€™s Claimโ€™.

Step 9 – If you wish to challenge this option, you may use the Options given in the โ€˜Candidateโ€™s Claimโ€™ column.

Step 10 –ย  After clicking your desired option, for Physics / Chemistry / Botany / Zoology for NEET (UG) – 2024, scroll down, โ€˜Submitโ€™, and move to the next screen.

Step 11 –ย  You willsee a screen displaying your challenges.

Step 12 –ย  Click on โ€˜Submit’ and Pay Fee Finallyโ€™.

Step 13 –ย  Select Mode of Payment and Pay a processing fee @ โ‚น 200/- for each question/grade challenged. Make payment through Debit/Credit Card/Net Banking.

Step 14 –ย  After successful payment, download/print the Answer Key challenge receipt

How To Calculate Your Score?

NTA is expected to announce NEET 2024 result on 1st week ofย June. But with the release of official answer keys, candidates can now know the marks they will be scoring and whether they will be able to fall in the NEET cut off or not. Follow the simple steps given below and calculate your score:

Step 1 โ€“ Download the NEET Answer Key of your paper code.

Step 2 โ€“ Match the answer you marked in the exam with the official answer keys.

Step 3 โ€“ Add and deduct marks as per the marking scheme, i.e,

  • Add (+) 4 marks for each correct answer
  • Deduct (-) 1 mark for incorrect answer.
  • Deduct (-) 1 mark for each question for which more than 1 answer option is marked.
  • Do not add or deduct marks for unattempted questions

Step 4 โ€“ When the marks are added and deducted for all 180 question, candidates will get to know their marks out of 720.

Students should keep their login details handy in order to access the answer key so that they can submit objections (in case any) within the stipulated time frame. After going through the objections, the final answer key will be put to use to prepare and announce the NEET UG 2024 results.

Until May 31, students can submit objections to the provisional answer key. Students need to pay Rs 200 per question for raising objection. The answer keys will be revised accordingly if the objections are found valid after review.
