JEE Main 2020 Result : National Testing Agency has released the result of Joint Entrance Examination Main January Phase on 17th of January. It is in the news that NTA has declared the result in record time of less than 9 days.
According to the JEE main brochure, the expected date of result was 31st January. JEE Main 2020 January phase was conducted between 7 to 9 January 2020. Students can check their results on the official website and download their scorecards. The JEE Main result is available in the form of score card containing four NTA scores in the form of percentile for Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and total score.
9 Candidates Score 100 Percentile
This year 8,69,010 candidates appeared for the examination whereas a total number of 9,21,261 candidates were registered for B.E. /B.Tech. This year 9 students scored a perfect 100 percentile. Out of this 1 is each from Delhi, Gujarat and Haryana; while Rajasthan, Telangana and Andhra Pradesh lead with 2 candidates from each state.

The exam was held in 233 cities in the country and abroad. There were 570 examination centres across the country and abroad. A total number of 536 Observers, 213 City- Coordinators and 19 Regional observers oversaw the conduct of the exam held from January 6 to 9, 2020.

There are about 13,376 seats in IITs, 17,376 seats in NITs, 4,023 seats in IIITs, and 4,683 seats in GFTIs.

Cut off of JEE Main 2020
JEE main cutoff is released for all the three papers. The cut-off scores of JEE Main 2020 are of two types – qualifying cutoff marks and admission cutoff marks.
JEE Main cutoff is the minimum marks a candidate need to secure in order to qualify the exam. Students who score marks more than or equal to JEE Main cutoff becomes eligible to appear for JEE Advanced and also for taking admission in NITs, IIITs, GFTIs and other institutes which take admission through the score. JEE Main cutoff is different for various categories and varies year over year.

Students who qualify JEE Main are provided percentile NTA score and its corresponding All India Rank and Category Rank. Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) uses the All India Rank of Candidates for the allotment of seats in all the participating institutes.
