The CBSE concluded the Accountancy exam today, 31st March 2023. The exam was held at 6,759 exam centres across the country and 26 countries abroad for three hours from 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM. The students were advised to reach the exam centres half an hour before the commencement of the exam.
The Accountancy paper was divided into 2 sections – Section A and B with a total of 34 questions and conducted for a maximum of 80 marks. All questions were compulsory in Section A while Section B has two sub-sections to choose from.

The Class 12 Accountancy Exam Paper Was “Easy”
The consensus of class 12 students, who were seen emerging out of the exam centres at 1:30 pm was that the exam was moderate. According to students, MCQs were scoring, the paper wasn’t lengthy and easily completed in the allotted time.
Most of the students said that the Accountancy paper was moderate to tough but was based on the CBSE syllabi, and NCERT pattern. The application-based questions were tricky and needed technical thinking.

Overall, The Accountancy Paper Was Weighted As “Easy to Moderate”
According to the teachers, “the Accountancy paper was easy, students who studied NCERT thoroughly will be able to score good marks as the exam was according to the CBSE syllabus.
Another PGT teacher said that the exam was moderate and in line with the CBSE syllabus. Some questions required critical thinking. Overall, the exam was balanced and students with strong conceptual understanding will be able to do well in the exam.
According to the poll conducted on the official Twitter page of MTG, 30% of students agreed that the exam was moderate, 21% of students voted the exam paper seemed tough whereas 48% of students even voted that the paper was easy.
