After Accountancy, the Central Board of Secondary Education has successfully conducted the CBSE Class 12 exams for Biology today (19 March 2024). The exam was held at 7,250 exam centers across the country for two hours (10:30 am- 1:30 pm). The students were advised to reach the exam centers half an hour before the commencement of the exam.
The complete Biology paper was conducted for a maximum of 70 marks. The paper has five sections and 33 questions.
Section A: 16 questions, one mark each.
Section B: 5 questions, two marks each.
Section C: 7 questions, three marks each.
Section D: 2 case-based questions, four marks each.
Section E: 3 questions, five marks each.

CBSE Class 12th Biology Board Exam Analysis From MTG
- Class 12 CBSE Biology exam paper which was held today contained competency-based questions that made the students apply their acquired knowledge.
- The level of paper was moderate. It was prepared in a way that those who have studied NCERT thoroughly will be able to perform well.
- The paper included practical application-based questions to assess the students’ problem-solving skills. The instructions were clear and concise, making it easier for students to navigate through the paper and understand what was expected of them.

The Class 12 Biology Exam Paper Was “Easy to Moderate”- Students
According to the class 12 students, who were seen emerging out of the exam centers at 1:30 pm, the Biology paper was moderate and was based on the CBSE syllabi, a student with a focused knowledge of the biology syllabus could do well in the CBSE Biology exam.
One more student from New Delhi told the officials that the Biology paper was based on the CBSE sample papers. Even though few questions were lengthy, overall the exam was easy.
Overall the Biology Paper Was Weighted as “Easy”
According to the teachers, “the Biology paper was balanced it was neither too lengthy nor too difficult. Someone who had a hold of NCERT could do great in the exam”. Section A was the easiest of all, though 1-2 questions were relatively lengthier, the overall exam was easy.
According to the poll regulated on the official Twitter page of MTG, 45% of students agreed that the exam was moderate, to an estimate of 35% of students, the exam paper seemed tough whereas 20% of students even voted against the teacher’s review saying that the paper was tough.
