SOF Olympiads 2021 -22– Online Registrations for Students Released

Science Olympiad Foundation (SOF) conducts several school Olympiads every year. SOF is the World’s Biggest Olympiad leading organization. Every year millions of students from 50000+ schools and 48 countries participate in these Olympiads. These Olympiads are very prestigious as the quality of questions and assessment levels in these exams are unparalleled.

Till the year 2019, students can appear in these Olympiads through schools only. In the year 2020, amid Covid 19, when school premises were closed, and education took a shift to Online classes, SOF conducted Online Olympiads. For the very first time, SOF accepted individual students’ registrations across the globe. Students all over the world welcomed this move of the Science Olympiad Foundation wholeheartedly. Science Olympiads Foundation conducted Proctored Online Olympiads (International Mathematics Olympiads, International English Olympiads, National Science Olympiads and International General Knowledge Olympiads). It allowed students to take the exam from their home.

The response was so overwhelming that SOF has released the Online Student Registration for Olympiads this year also.

All SOF Olympiad for Session 2021-22

Following is the list of Olympiads proposed for the year 2021-22. Out of these seven Olympiads, three i.e., SOF IMO, SOF IEO & SOF NSO, are two-level exams for classes 3 -12. Others are single-level exams.

Important Dates for SOF Olympiads – Level 1

As declared by SOF, the following are the tentative dates of Level 1 Olympiads. Level 2 dates will be announced in January 2022. These are the tentative dates of the Olympiads and may vary as per the situation aroused by Covid 19 pandemic outbreak precautionary measures.

How to Register for SOF Olympiads

The registration process is quite simple and can be done in two ways:

1. For Schools: If the school authority gives consent to conduct the exams, the school coordinator teacher / Principal can register on the link below. They have to send the complete details in the school registration form and students registration form. And make the collective payment to the Foundation. If the school is not comfortable with online registration, they can download the pdf copies of the form from the link below. After completing all the formalities, send the details to Foundation either through email or through the post.
2. Individual Registration: If your school is not participating, students can register individually as well through the link given below:

Pattern of the Olympiads:

• Questions will be objective i.e., multiple-choice Questions
• Time one hour
• Mode: Online / Offline as per the selection by the school
• Number of questions: 35 for class 1 to 4, 60 for 5 to 12
• Marking – No negative marking, one mark for the correct answer in standard sections, and 2/3 (based on class) score for the Achievers section.

Fees for the SOF Olympiads

The fee for each Olympiad is Rs 150 per student.

So, if any student appears for NSO, IMO, IEO, IGKO, and NCO, the fees he has to pay will be Rs 150×5 i.e., 750. Students have to make payments through debit cards, credit cards, Net Banking, UPI, or wallets. For individual student registration, an offline fee is not applicable.

Last Date to Register

Registration will be accepted 15 days before the last exam date. But it is recommended that students interested in multiple exams should register for all exams in one go and as soon as possible.

Students who do registration in the eleventh hour may face roll numbers, exam links, or mock test-related issues as the time of correction will not be done in a short time. So earlier, the better.

Important Point to Take Care of:

There are some very important points which every student while filling the form need to take care of:

• You must fill in the correct SOF School Code in the form. You need to check it with your school teacher or check-in your Roll number received last year.
• You must fill in the correct Email Id and Phone Number. All the communication related to your exam dates, roll number, mock drill, results, and certificate will be on registered email id and phone number.
• If you are ordering books along with exam registration, you must cross-check your address. The address should be complete and correct, else the delivery of the books may get delayed.
• If a parent is registering two or three kids, then he/she has to submit the form separately.
• Also, take care of other details as well.
