SSC MTS 2019 Official Notification is out! Know how to apply online

Great news for government job aspirants! The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has released the notification for the Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) recruitment exam 2019 on its official website, ssc.nic.in. This is a golden chance to grab a well secured job in the Government Organization. The last date to apply is 29th May 2019.

SSC MTS 2019 Vacancy Details

The number of vacancies is not determined in the official notice. However, it is expected that 10,000 posts will be offered. The updated vacancies will be uploaded on the official website from time to time at ssc.nic.in.

SSC MTS 2019 Eligibility Criteria

There are three major criteria that a candidate is required to fulfil in order to be eligible for SSC MTS 2019 Exam:

  1. Nationality

A candidate must be either:

  • A citizen of India
  • Subject of Nepal
  • Subject of Bhutan
  • Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India
  1. Age Limit

SSC MTS Vacancies are divided in two age groups:

  • 18-25 years as on 01-08-2019 (i.e. candidates born not before 02-08-1994 and not later than 01-08-2001)
  • 18-27 years as on 01-08-2019 (i.e. candidates born not before 02-08-1992 and not later than 01-08-2001)
  1. Educational Qualification:

The candidates must have passed Matriculation Examination (10th Pass) or equivalent from a recognized Board.

Application Fees – The application fee for SSC MTS 2019 is Rs. 100. Candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD/Ex-servicemen category are exempted from paying the application fee. In addition to this, female candidates are also exempted from paying the application fee for SSC MTS 2019 exam.

SSC MTS 2019 Examination Pattern

The MTS 2019 examination will be conducted in 2 different levels: Paper-1 (or Tier-1) and Paper-2 (or Tier-2). The structure of the exam is as follow:

Paper 1 or Tier -I:

Paper -I will comprise of four sections in total and the duration of the exam will be 1.5 hours. There will be a total of 100 questions with a penalty of 1/4 marks for each wrong answer. All questions will be MCQ types.

Paper 2 or Tier – II

  • Tier II will be descriptive paper of 50 marks.
  • Exam will be conducted in a pen and Paper mode.
  • Duration of paper will be 30 minutes.
