‘Teacher- The strength to the foundation of a country.’
In India, Teachers Day is consistently praised on the 5th of September on the birth commemoration of India’s first Vice president and second president, Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan.
It is a day to thank our educators who confer knowledge and shape the fates of students.
Why do we Celebrate Teachers Day?
Radhakrishnan’s students wanted to celebrate “Radhakrishnan Day” on his birthday when he became the second president of India in 1962. Still, he refused, saying, “I’d rather celebrate Teachers’ Day than my birthday.” Since then, his birthday has been celebrated as Teachers’ Day.
Traditionally, Teachers’ Day ceremonies begin with a warm speech thanking teachers for their contributions. Various colourful cultural programmes, fests, and other activities make the event unique and memorable for everyone involved in the celebration.
Role of Teachers in shaping the future of students

- Teaches team play: They adopt constructive and innovative methods to make you learn how to work in a team, and this will let you develop communication skills and social skills.
- Nurture academic skills: Teachers can help you improve your academic skills by keeping track of how quickly you grasp concepts. As a result, they design your study plan in a way that makes it easier for you to tackle complex problems.
