A recent announcement by Education Minister, Mr. Ramesh Pohriyal created a buzz in NEET aspirants about a reduction in the NEET syllabus. There are various different announcements being made by Education Ministry till now. Every year NTA (National Testing Agency) conducts NEET (National Eligibility Entrance Test), which is the single entrance test for the students who wish to pursue undergraduate medical, dental equivalent courses in government and private institutions in India as well as medical qualification abroad.

NTA provides the result to the Directorate General of Health Services for seat allocation.

Every Details to Know About NEET 2021 Exams

  1. NEET 2021 Exam Registration Dates โ€“ Till now, no official dates have been announced by NTA. But, it is expected to be released soon.
  2. NEET 2021 Mode of Exam โ€“ Due to COVID19 students are requesting to make it Online but, till now the mode of the NEET 2021 exam is offline (pen and paper) only.
  3. NEET exam duration โ€“ 180 Minutes is the total duration of the NEET exam.
  4. NEET 2021 Exam Syllabus โ€“ No change in NEET syllabus. A NEET aspirant has to study the complete Class XI & XII syllabus for NEET exam preparations.
  5. NEET 2021 Exam Pattern โ€“ As per the recent announcement by Education Minister, the Total number of questions to answer in the NEET exam will remain the same. But, more choices will be given to students due to the 30% syllabus reduction by CBSE.
  6. Expected Number of Questions in Each Section of NEET exam โ€“ As per Education Minister, students are required to attempt 45 questions out of 50 questions added in each section of the question paper. Till 2020, the NEET question paper used to have 180 questions which included 90 questions from biology, 45 questions each from physics and chemistry, get NEET previous years paper. A number of choices will be increased in this question paper to accommodate the syllabus reduction. It is done to help students who are attempting the CBSE Board and NEET exam both in the year 2021 and studying as per the reduced syllabus of CBSE.
  1. Marking Scheme โ€“ Students are required to attempt 180 questions comprising a total of 720 Marks. For every correct answer, 4 marks will be awarded to the student and for each wrong answer, 1 mark will be deducted from the scored marks.
