(b): Word ‘dwindling’ means diminishing gradually in size, amount or strength. Among these, only forest is the natural resource which reduces in size due to deforestation (cutting down). Forests are limited in number. Although they can be replenished by planting new trees, yet the rate of deforestation and urban development is so high that the forests are gradually reducing and getting depleted.
