IEO Class 2 Syllabus (2024) and Exam Pattern – International English Olympiad

The SOF IEO for Class 2 is a prestigious English olympiad exam that encourages students to excel in English and improve their language skills. The syllabus for Class 2 introduces students to basic English concepts and helps them build a strong foundation in the language. Participating in the IEO gives students the chance to showcase their English proficiency, enhance their reading and writing skills, and compete at national and international levels.

Participating in the IEO and following its syllabus can greatly benefit children by enhancing their understanding of the English language and fostering their language skills. The IEO Class 2 syllabus covers topics like  Collocations, Spellings, Synonyms, Antonyms, Search for and retrieve information from various text types like stories, short dialogues and more, all of which are crucial for building a solid foundation in English with a total of 35 questions. Students will encounter a variety of challenging questions and tasks that will stimulate their critical thinking and creativity. Mastering the concepts outlined in the IEO Class 2 syllabus, where the total mark is 40, will set students up for success in their future academic endeavors. Additionally, by engaging with the writing exercises in the syllabus, students will refine their creative writing abilities and learn how to articulate their thoughts clearly and persuasively.

IEO Syllabus for Class 2 (2024)

Students will be tested on their ability to recognize and use different words and phrases, understand basic grammar rules, and comprehend simple passages.
