The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the final date sheet for the 2025-26 board examinations for Class 10 and 12. With the exams scheduled to take place from ย February 17, 2026, to April 9, 2026, students now have the complete and final timeline to begin their preparations effectively. In this blog, we have detailed the final date sheet for major subjects, exam timings, and important instructions every student should be aware of to prepare thoroughly for the upcoming boards.


CBSE Class 10 Important Dates & Date Sheet 2026

The official CBSE Class 10 board exams will begin on February 17, 2026 and end on March 10, 2026. Below is the list of important subjects and their respective exam dates:

CBSE Class 12 Science Datesheet

The Class 12 Science stream exams will commence on February 17, 2026 and will continue through the examination period till April 9, 2026. Below is the table with some of the key subjects and their respective exam dates:

Important Instructions for Students

  1. Supplementary Examinations:
    The dates for supplementary exams will be announced later on the official CBSE website. Make sure to check regularly in case you need to appear for supplementary exams.
  2. Exam Day Timings:
    • Answer sheets will be distributed starting at 10:00 AM.
    • The question papers will be handed out at 10:15 AM.
    • The exam duration is 3 hours, with exams ending at 1:30 PM.
  3. No Overall Percentage:
    As per the recent notification, CBSE will not issue overall division, distinction, or percentage. Institutions will have the discretion to consider the best 5 subjects if a student has taken more than 5 subjects.

Calculation of the percentage of Class 10 and Class 12

In a recent notice, it is also announced that there will be no overall division, distinction, aggregate or percentage will be awarded by the CBSE board. Also, if a candidate has offered more than 5 subjects, the decision to take the best 5 subjects may be taken by the admitting institution.

Class 10 Preparation Tips

  • English: Focus on understanding literature, comprehension, grammar, and writing skills.
  • Mathematics: Solve past papers and strengthen problem-solving skills. Don’t forget to revise essential formulae.
  • Science: Revise core concepts in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Practice important diagrams and experiments.
  • Social Science: Create timelines for history, maps for geography, and focus on key terms for civics and economics.
  • Languages: Regularly practice grammar and writing exercises.

 

Class 12 Preparation Tips

  • Physics & Chemistry: Focus on conceptual clarity and practice numerical problems from both subjects.
  • Mathematics: Prioritise algebra, calculus, and coordinate geometry. Consistent practice is key.
  • Biology: Memorise important diagrams and understand biological processes in detail.
