IEO Class 6 Syllabus (2024) and Exam Pattern – Level 1 and Level 2

The International English Olympiad (IEO) exam conducted by SOF is held annually to evaluate the English language skills of students from classes 1 to 12. By participating in the IEO exam, students can demonstrate their language skills, subject knowledge, and problem-solving abilities. The IEO program aims to assess students’ basic English skills and help them improve their language abilities through a variety of questions. While the difficulty level of the questions may vary across different classes, the syllabus remains the same as class 6 english. In this article, we will provide a detailed overview of the IEO level 1 and level 2 Syllabus for Class 6.

IEO Syllabus and Exam Pattern for Class 6 (2024) Level 1

Students who are preparing for class 6 IEO will be tested on their ability to recognize and use different words and phrases, understand basic grammar rules, and comprehend simple passages.

IEO Level 1 Syllabus for Class 6 (2024)

Topics included in the SOF IEO syllabus level 1  for Class 6 are

Section Topics
Section – 1 Nouns, Pronouns, Verbs, Adverbs, Adjectives, Articles, Conjunctions, Prepositions, Punctuation and Jumbled Words, Tenses, Voices, Narration, etc., Spellings, Collocations, Phrasal verbs, Idioms, Synonyms, Antonyms.
Section – 2 Search for and retrieve information from various text types like News headlines, Brochures, Formal and Informal letters, Itinerary, etc., Acquire broad understanding of and look for specific information in Short narratives, Time-tables, News stories, Diary entry, Poster Making, Messages, etc.
Section – 3 Ability to understand situation-based variations in functions like agreement and disagreement, Requests, Refusals, Apologies, etc.
Section – 4 Higher Order Thinking Questions – Syllabus as per Sections 1, 2 and 3.

IEO Level 2 Syllabus for Class 6 (2024)

Topics included in the SOF IEO syllabus level 2 for Class 6 is divided into 3 sections are as below
