Attention JEE Aspirants, The National Testing Agency (NTA) has opened registration for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 1. The last date to register is 27 November 2025 (up to 9:00 PM), and fee payment is open until 11:50 PM on the same day.
The correction window will be available from 30 November to 1 December 2025. Exam-city details will be released in the first week of January 2026, and admit cards will be available three days before the exam.
Session 1 of JEE (Main) 2026 is scheduled for 21-30 January 2026, with results expected on 12 February 2026 (tentative). The exam will be conducted in 13 languages, including English, Hindi, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
Key Announcement – โNo Calculator Allowedโ
A public notice dated 2 November 2025 from NTA clarifies that although the Information Bulletin initially mentioned the availability of an onscreen calculator for the CBT format, this will not be applicable for JEE (Main) 2026. Use of any form of calculator during the exam is strictly prohibited. The revised Information Bulletin reflecting this change has been uploaded to the official website.
Registration Process for JEE Main 2026
- Visit the official website: jeemain.nta.nic.in
- Click on Online Application Form for JEE (Main) – 2026 Session-1.
- Register by entering your email ID, mobile number, password and security pin.
- Youโll receive your application number and password via email/SMS. Save them securely.
- Log in using the credentials and fill in the detailed application form (personal & academic details, exam preferences, etc.).
- Upload required documents: photograph, signature, category certificate (if applicable), based on the specifications given in the information bulletin.
- Pay the application fee through online modes (credit/debit card, net banking, UPI).
- Submit the form and download the confirmation page for your records.
Exam Structure – JEE Main 2026
- Paper 1 (BE/BTech): For admission to undergraduate engineering programmes at NITs, IIITs, CFTIs and other participating institutions, it also serves as eligibility for JEE Advanced (IITs).
- Paper 2 (BArch/BPlanning): For admission to undergraduate architecture and planning courses.
- The exam will be computer-based and held in 13 languages to cater to students across the country.
