What is the format and exam pattern for CUET 2022?
CUET 2022 is a three-section computer-based test. The first component assesses a candidate’s language abilities by requiring them to comprehend factual, literary, and narrative materials. Candidates will respond to multiple-choice questions in this phase of the test, which is divided into two sections: 1A and 1B.
The candidate’s command of core subjects they desire to study at the undergraduate level will be tested in Section II. There are 27 domain subjects (or papers) in this area, and a candidate can test in up to six of them. This section has been divided into two parts by DU: B1 and B2. To know all the languages and subjects appearing in the CUET 2022 Exam, refer here to the Exam pattern of CUET 2022. Candidates must, however, choose their subjects in accordance with the program’s standards.
The final component of CUET 2022, Section III, is intended to assess the candidate’s general knowledge. This portion, however, is not required; a student will only complete it if it is mentioned as a requirement for the programme to which they are applying. Section III, which will be based on current events, general knowledge, quantitative reasoning, and the application of basic mathematical principles, will take an hour to complete.
How much should a student’s Class 12 board exam score be to apply to DU? What method will DU use to determine an applicant’s CUET score?
Any candidate who has passed their Class 12 final exam from a recognized school board is eligible to apply for CUET 2022. Even as it transitions to a new system, DU has stated that it will continue to honor applicants’ “best performance.” Previously, an applicant’s percentage based on the four subjects in which they scored the highest would determine their admittance to DU. However, their greatest performance in CUET domain papers will now be the deciding factor. Applicants will have the option of taking six domain(subjects) papers in CUET if they have studied all of these subjects in Class 12. DU will assess the student’s best performance based on the eligibility for each course. (as indicated on the website http://www.admission.uod.ac.in, the eligibility differs for each UG course).
For instance, if a student wishes to enroll in B.Sc. (Hons.) Mathematics, they need to apply for any one language from Section 1 + Mathematics + Any two subjects out of which one should be from Section 2. They can, however, opt to take five subjects from Section 2 if they studied those subjects in Class 12. Therefore, The final merit of the CUET score will be determined by their success on the language test, as well as the highest marks earned in three domain subjects (out of the total five they took the test).
What are the eligibility criteria and how will DU calculate the CUET score for B.SC. Programmes?
In this situation, DU will calculate merit based on grades in one language (from Section I) and three domain topics (from Section II). The language test must be passed with a minimum score of 30%. For example, to be admitted to BSc. Physics (Hons) or BSc. Chemistry (Hons), students must pass Section II’s Physics, Chemistry, and Maths papers, as well as achieve a minimum of 30% in one language.
The entry requirements for a few BSc programmes are a little more demanding. Candidates for B.Sc. Maths (Hons) and B.Sc. Computer Science (Hons) must take a language test from Section IA, a Maths test from Section II, and two subjects, one of which must be from B1. Candidates must select their CUET domain papers based on the eligibility criteria set forth by DU for each programme.
What if a candidate studied a topic in Class 12 that isn’t one of the CUET’s 27 domain subjects?
To begin, students should only take the CUET domain papers that they passed in their Class 12 exams. If a student cannot discover a subject in the CUET list that they are interested in, they must select the domain paper that is most similar to the subject they studied in Class 12. Since Biochemistry is not one of the 27 domain subjects, students who studied it in Class 12 will have to take the Biology test in CUET.

Will there be entrance tests for professional programmes such as BBA, BBE, and BMS?
No, the BBA, BBE, and BMS entrance tests are no longer valid. Therefore, CUET scores will be used to determine admission to these courses as well. Moreover, candidates for the BBA, BBE, and BMS programmes must take one of the language tests from Section 1A, the math paper from Section II, and the CUET general ability test (Section III).
Is it possible for students who have missed a year to apply for admission to DU this year?
Students who took a gap year will not be at a disadvantage because they will be admitted to any of DU’s undergraduate programmes without prejudice. Therefore, these students will also be required to take CUET 2022.
