Wish you all a very Happy Diwali from MTG Family!

Deepawali, the festival of lights, the symbol of victory of good over evil, is celebrated every year on the day of Amavasya in the Kartik month of the Hindu calendar. This year, Diwali falls on 1st November, 2024.

Diwali is a festival most popularly celebrated in India among Hindus, Jain, Sikhs, and Newar Buddhists. It is auspiciously celebrated to mark the triumphant return of Lord Ram to Ayodhya after winning back his divine wife, Goddess Sita, from the evil King Ravana. Being the most righteous man and the 7th incarnation of Lord Vishnu, Lord Ram is also known as the “Supreme Man” or “Maryada Purushottam”.

It is believed that Lord Vishnu goes into a deep sleep from the 11th lunar day of Asadh to the 11th lunar day of Kartik month. So, instead of worshipping lord ram, the saints suggest worshipping Goddess Lakshmi. Along with Goddess Lakshmi, Goddess Sarasvati and Lord Ganesh are also honoured. The reason behind worshipping Lord Ganesh is most popularly known as Lord Ganesh is the most righteous lord. Also, he is believed to be the adopted son of Goddess Lakshmi. Let’s discover the reason behind worshipping Goddess Sarasvati.

It is well known that you can get wealth (Lakshmi), but you will not be able to keep it if you do not have wisdom. Thus, Goddess Sarasvati is worshipped to seek blessings of wisdom.

This Diwali 2024, at MTG, we are all set to help you seek blessings from Goddess Sarasvati along with Goddess Lakshmi. The Diwali Sale 2024 at MTG this year is based on Indian beliefs.
