All you need to know about MHT-CET: Applications, Eligibility, Exam Pattern, Syllabus, Tips, Best MHT CET Books!

Maharashtra Common Entrance Test is a state-level-based test which is conducted by State Common Entrance Test Cell, Mumbai in order to get admission in different professional courses like B. Tech/B. E, B. Pharm, and Pharma D. The exam will be conducted into 2 groups โ€“ PCM and PCB. Applicants can apply for both or one of them. The examination will be computer-based i.e. online. Letโ€™s see all that there is to know about the MHT CET exam and all the essential resources you must have on your bookshelf to ace the exam.

MHT CET Admit Card

MHT CET cell will release the MHT CET Admit card one week before the exam date on their official website โ€“ mahacet.org. Candidates will need to enter their application number and date of birth to download the admit card. After downloading the admit card, they must take the printout of their MHT CET admit card and one valid photo ID proof to the exam center.

MHT CET 2026 Exam Date

MHT CET is expected to be conducted from April 22, to April 30, for the PCB group. For the PCM group, the exam will be conducted from May 02, to May 17, . The exam will be in online (CBT) mode.

We suggest candidates keep track ofย the MHT CET exam date so that they donโ€™t miss any event related to the exam. After a few days of the exam, the MHT CET cell will release the MHT CET answer key and results. Successful candidates will tentatively be called for the MHT CET counselling from June to August 2026.

Eligibility Criteria MHT CET 2026

Nationality: The applicants must be Indian.

Age Limit: No age limit is prescribed by the authorities.

Qualification examination: The candidates must have passed the 12th or the equivalent exam from any recognized board with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics as the compulsory subjects.

Appearance: Candidates who are appearing for class 12th are also eligible for the exam.

Minimum Marks Required: General Category candidates should have secured minimum 50% aggregate marks in 12th standard examination whereas for SC/ST/OBC candidates is 45%.

MHT CET 2026 Application Form: Applicants who are willing to take admissions in various professional courses need to apply online at the official website. As the dates are not announced yet.

MHT CET 2026 Syllabus

The syllabus for MHT CET is similar to that of Class 11 and 12 consisting of topics from Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Mathematics. Candidates opting for B.Tech courses are meant to attempt Mathematics. On the other hand, students appearing for Pharma courses are meant to attempt Biology.

Candidates appearing for the Pharma courses have to attempt Paper 3 comprising the Biology section in place of Paper 1 consisting of Mathematics.
