Dynamic Duo - PI and Zero

PI: Hey Zero, why do you rarely find mathematicians spending time at the beach?

Zero: Huh? I don’t know why.

PI: Because they can divide sine and cosine to get a tan! Hahahaha.

Zero: OMG PI, you are so lame. Haha.

PI: Hey, I just wanted to cheer you up. You seem upset. What happened?

Zero: I feel so insignificant. I am nothing.

PI: That’s not true zero, you are a special number. Zero acts as a place holder and separates a positive number from a negative number. Without you, there would be no algebra, no arithmetic, no decimal, no accounts, no physical quantities to measure, no boundary between negative and positive numbers and, most importantly, no computers!

Zero: Oh wow! I never thought this way. You are special too, PI.

PI: What do you mean?

Zero: You help us understand the Universe and mathematical concepts. You are the ratio of the circumference of a circle to its diameter. You stay constant irrespective of the size of square. Without you, it would be hard to find out quantities like area and circumference of circles etc.

PI: You are so sweet zero. I guess we are all special in our own way.

Zero: Yeah, just like MTG Monthly Magazines.

PI: Do you read them too? It is amazing to stay up to date and catch up with the latest trends and their concept maps are amazing to memorize.
