
Among a bunch of top entrance tests in India, BITSAT is one of the most followed and discussed tests. BITSAT or Birla Institute of Technology and Science Admission Test opens doors to undergraduate engineering courses (BE). Birla Institute of Technology and Science (BITS), Pilani conducts the entrance test every year to offer admissions at its three campuses located in Pilani (Rajasthan), Goa, and Hyderabad. After qualifying for the entrance test, candidates get admission into B.E, along with B.Pharma, and M.Sc programmes. Every year the exam is conducted online and close to three lakh students apply for BITSAT.
BITSAT 2026 Application Form
Read the below instructions carefully, before filling up the online application form.
- Registration:
- Register to get a unique 8-digit Application Number (User ID) and Password.
- Use a valid email and mobile number because OTPs will be sent for validation.
- The Application Number and Password will be sent to your registered contacts (email and mobile). Overseas candidates will only receive these details by email.
- Important Information:
- Double-check the accuracy of your Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, Email Address, Gender, and Test City Preferences. These cannot be changed later.
- Session Selection:
- You can apply for Session-1 or both Session-1 and Session-2.
- If you register only for Session-1, you can still opt for Session-2 later (from 20th April to 2nd May 2026).
- If you appear in both sessions, the higher of the two scores will be considered for admission.
- Application Fee:
- The application fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
- Fees can be paid online through PayU Money, PayTM, or Razorpay Payment Gateway.
- The fee structure varies by region and session:
- For Indian and Nepal Candidates:
- Only Session-1: โน3600 (Male), โน3100 (Female/Transgender)
- Both Sessions: โน5600 (Male), โน4600 (Female/Transgender)
- For Dubai Candidates:
- Only Session-1: โน7250 (Male/Female/Transgender)
- Both Sessions: โน9250 (Male/Female/Transgender)
- For Indian and Nepal Candidates:
- Key Dates:
- Application Deadline: Submit your online application and payment by 5:00 PM on 16th March 2026.
- Edit Window: You can make corrections between 18th and 20th March 2026 (Note: Some details like Name, Date of Birth, Mobile Number, and Test City Preferences cannot be changed after registration).
- Session-2 Application Window: For candidates applying after the initial deadline, the window is from 20th April to 2nd May 2026.
- Important Submission Guidelines:
- Submit only one application. Duplicate submissions will be rejected.
- Ensure all details are correct before submitting.
- After submission, take a printout of the application for future reference.
- Image Upload Requirements:
- Photograph: File format should be jpg/jpeg, with a size between 50 KB to 100 KB.
- Signature: File format should be jpg/jpeg, with a size between 10 KB to 100 KB.
- Additional Information:
- Any changes to dates or other important announcements will be shared on the official website.
- Use the provided navigation links throughout the application process, and avoid using your browserโs back button.
- Always log out and close the browser after completing the application to secure your personal details.
BITSAT 2026 Admit Card
After finishing the slot booking process, registered candidates can download the BITSAT admit card. By means of the BITSAT results, candidates can check the moderated scores of the BITSAT exam. Basis the candidateโs preferences, rank, and seat availability, allotment of seats will take place. Those candidates who appear for both sessions 1 and 2, with the best score will be given preference for admission.
BITSAT 2026 Exam Date
BITSAT 2026 exam for Session 1 will be held from 15th April to 17th April 2026. Apart from this, session 2 of the BITSAT 2025 will take place from 24th May to 26th May 2026. BITS Pilani will conduct the exams in CBT mode. ย We suggest candidates keep track of the BITSAT exam date so that they donโt miss any event related to the exam. BITSATย Syllabus
The official authorities of BITS have shared the BITSAT syllabus on their official website -bitsadmission.com. The candidates can access more information there with respect to the subjects, units, and topics that will be asked in BITSAT by checking the BITSAT syllabus. According to the BITSAT syllabus, candidates need to study five subjects โ Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Mathematics, Logical Reasoning, and English Proficiency. BITSAT 2026 Exam Pattern
Candidates must visit the official website of BITS to check the BITSAT 2026 exam pattern. Candidates can check the updated information regarding how the entrance examination will be conducted. According to the exam pattern of BITSAT, the candidates need to attempt 130 MCQs in a time period of three hours. - What are the eligibility criteria for BITSAT 2026?
Eligibility criteria for Engineering aspirants: The candidates need to clear the class 12th examination from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. They need to be proficient in English. They need to have at least aggregate 75 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics with a minimum of 60 percent marks in each of the subjects.
Eligibility criteria for Pharma aspirants:ย Candidates need to clear the class 12th examination from a recognised Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. Students need to be proficient in English.ย They need to obtain at least aggregate of 75 percent marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects with a minimum of 60 percent marks in each of the subjects.
Also, candidates having PCMB in Class 10+2 can also apply for the Pharmacy programme.
- How is the merit list of BITSAT prepared?
The BITS Pilani authority prepares the merit list basis candidateโs obtained scores in the BITSAT. The authority releases the merit list online at bitsadmission.com. The candidates need to note that two individual merit lists are prepared โadmit list and the wait list. Those who fulfil the required eligibility and have been selected for admission can find their names in the BITSAT admit list. In the meantime, the wait list of BITSAT will comprise candidates who will be asked for admission only if there are vacant seats available.
- What to do if I am not satisfied with my BITSAT seat allotment?
If candidates are not satisfied with their BITSAT seat allotment, they can choose to let go of their seats and stay on the wait list. Those already on the wait list can take part in the next round of BITSAT counselling to explore the chance of being allotted to their choices.
