Do’s and Don’ts for CBSE Term 1 Preparation for Class 10th & 12th

Central Board of Secondary Education has released the date sheet for class 10th and 12th for CBSE Term 1 exams.

With the recent advisory it has been noted that after the segregation of CBSE board exams in two terms: Term 1 & Term 2. Now for Term 1 exams the subjects are also classified in Major Subjects and Minor subjects respectively.

The final exams for Minor subjects will start from 15th November 2021, and the exams for Major subjects will be held from 24th November 2021. You can fetch the complete details of the exam schedule through the below link.

The major highlight of CBSE term 1 exams are the MCQ based question format that is happening for the first time in the CBSE boards. So, here we are providing some Do’s and Don’ts that you must keep in mind while preparing for CBSE Term 1 exams.

Do’s

  • Must be aware of the exam syllabus: With the bifurcation of the exam in two terms the syllabus has also segregated into two terms. Bifurcation will give you an advantage in your studies as for term 1 exam you need to study for only 50% of the total syllabus.
  • Clear your concepts: MCQ based questions are derived from the core concepts of the chapters. Hence, keeping a close eye on the NCERT Concepts will give an extra edge to your preparation.

  • Practice similar kinds of questions: To get the high scores it is important to practice questions that are to be asked in the exam. Do check the exam pattern before starting your preparation. CBSE has already released the Sample Question Papers to give you the hint of question typologies.   • Don’ts
    • Don’t spend too much time on one question. As you will get only 90 minutes for solving the complete question paper. Try to spare some time for OMR filling.
    • Don’t pile up books next to you to study at a go. Only get the effective study material for proper learning and practice.
    • Do not get indulge in detailed studies as the CBSE Term-1 exams are around the corner.
    • Don’t get distracted with social media and technology. Spending too much time on social media is the easiest way to kill your important time that could be used in exam preparation.
    • Do not skip your health regime due to exam panic.
