How to prepare for JEE Main in 2 months

The National Testing Agency conducts the JEE main exam to test the student’s eligibility for taking admission into B.tech and B.arch courses in various esteemed institutions of the country. For the past 2 years (2020, 2021), the NTA has organized the JEE Main exam in 4 phases keeping in mind the wake of the Pandemic. This year too, the organization will conduct the exam in four phases. The first phase of JEE Main 2022 is expected to be held in March 2022. With that being said, all the JEE Main Aspirants are left with roughly two months for preparation. Keep reading further to know how to prepare for JEE Main in 2 months.

It is not the time but the approach of your studies that decides your success in the final exams. If your approach to preparation is not right, even two years of preparation won’t be fruitful. If you know how you have to study, even two months are enough. Thus, today we will discuss and understand what should be your approach to lock your desired seat in the upcoming JEE Main 2022 exam.

JEE Main 2022 – 2 Months Preparation Tips

First of all, you must divide the two months’ time for four things and keep the pace steady. Study, practice, revise and test. 

First-Month Planner 

During the first 30 days, your aim must be to understand and hone your preparations for the JEE Main syllabus– keep the following things in mind during the first month- 

  • Devote equal time– To score average marks, you can enhance your understanding of the subject that you are best at. But, to score well and outshine the overall exam, devoting equal time to each subject is the key. Study each subject daily, solve various typologies of numerical and practice consistently.
  • Reach out to the best study resources– You are left with only two months (Now only one for studies) so, ensure that you do not waste any time on sorting out the bulk of study matter. Choose the best books for JEE Main 2022 and start your preparation through these JEE exam books
  • Take topic-wise tests– After completing each topic, take a small self-assessment test. Check your understanding of the topic and move forward only when you have the confidence that you can solve any question from the topic. 
  • Set weekly deadlines– Weekly deadlines followed by weekly unit tests will help you to conclude some portion of the syllabus every week. Prepare for the whole week. Take a revision of your preparation every Sunday morning and till late noon, give subject-wise and chapter-wise tests. Take a break on Sunday evenings and spend some time on your favourite hobbies.

Second-Month Planner

During the last 30 days, ensure that you do not study any new topic. The last one month must be completely dedicated to revisions and mock tests. Keep the following things in mind during the second month.

  • Follow the “Devote equal time rule”- Suppose you are in a boat and the sailor is sailing the boat from only one side. What do you think would happen? The boat will get misbalanced right? The same will happen to your boat of success if you do not devote equal time to the revision of the subjects of JEE Main Exam 2022. So, ensure to revise each subject daily.
  • Solve previous year papers– Solving previous year papers will help you in two ways- 
  1. It will help you check your chapter-wise readiness. 
  2. Solving Previous Year Paper is a great way to understand and analyze the weightage and type of questions that are asked in the exam during the latest years.
    Thus, the previous year’s papers will benefit you by providing confidence in your preparedness. To chase the best results, solve Chapter wise previous year papers because it will help you gain chapter-wise confidence.
  • Take regular Online Mock Tests– Mock Tests are based upon the latest exam pattern and are set in an online format. Taking tests in an exam-like environment will help you tackle the time-stress that becomes the prime reason for students to lag in the final exam thus, solving Online Mock tests will help greatly.
  • Save the Final day– Relax. One day before the exam, don’t take any kind of stress. Gather all the exam essentials. Take a light meal to avoid an uneasy stomach during the exam and stay calm.
  • Health is a must, keep it first– Do not forget to take Covid precautionary stuff and follow the precautionary guidelines at the exam centre.
