The admit cards for the JEE Advanced 2025 examination have been officially released today, May 12, 2025, by the Indian Institute of Technology. The admit card is a mandatory requirement for JEE Advanced candidates to get entry into the exam hall. It is also important at the time of counselling, so you must keep your admit card safe. Candidates who are successfully registered for the exam shall now be able to download their admit cards from the official website. ย How to Download Your JEE Advanced 2025 Admit Card

Follow these steps to download your admit card:

  1. Visit the Official Website: Go to jeeadv.ac.in.
  2. Locate the Admit Card Link: On the homepage, find the link titled “Admit Card Download” under the ‘Quick Links’ section.
  3. Log In: Enter your JEE Advanced 2025 Registration Number, Date of Birth, and Mobile Number.
  4. Download the Admit Card: Click on the “Download Admit Card” button.


Important Instructions for the Candidate

  • Candidates are advised to report at the Examination Center well on time i.e., two ย hours before the commencement of the examination.
  • Candidates should take their seats shortly after the Examination Hall doors open. If candidates do not arrive on time for whatever reason, such as traffic congestion or a train/bus delay, they are likely to miss some of the key instructions that will be announced in the Examination Rooms/Halls. The NTA will not be held liable for any delays.
  • For access to the test room/hall, the applicant has to present the Admit Card downloaded/printed from the NTA website on demand. The on-duty Test Centre Staff is authorised to check applicantsโ€™ identities and may take actions to verify and validate the identification credentials. Candidates are asked to provide their complete cooperation. The Centre Superintendent will not allow candidates who do not have valid Admit Cards andย authorisedย Photo IDs to sit the test under any circumstances.
  • Each candidate will be assigned a seat with their Roll Number. Candidates should only find and sit in their assigned seats. If a candidate attempts to alter his/her seat and does not sit in the seat given to him/her, his/her nomination may be cancelled. In this case, no appeal would be considered.
  • The candidate must confirm that the Question Paper provided on the computer corresponds to the topic chosen on the Admit Card. If the subject of the Question Paper differs from his/her chosen subject, this should be brought to the attention of the Invigilator immediately.
  • During the test, applicants may approach the Centre Superintendent/Invigilator in the room for technical help, first aid emergencies, or any other information. Candidates with queries or worries about the Computer-Based Test may contact the Helpline Numbers listed on the Joint Entrance Examination (Main) website.
  • If a candidate appears in more than one shift/date by providing false information, his candidature will be annulled, and his result will not be published.
  • Those who are unable to present on the appointed day of the exam for whatever reason will not be given a re-test under any circumstances.


JEE Advanced Exam Day Guidelines

  • Paper 1: 09:00 AM โ€“ 12:00 PM IST
  • Paper 2: 02:30 PM โ€“ 05:30 PM IST
  • Entry Closure: The examination centre gates will close at 8:30 AM for Paper 1 and 2:00 PM for Paper 2. Latecomers will not be allowed entry.
  • Items Allowed: Only a transparent water bottle, pen, pencil, and admit card are permitted inside the examination hall.

What things are strictly banned inside the JEE exam centre?

Students are not allowed to carry electronic devices (mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, etc.), study material, bags, or written notes inside. They are also discouraged from carrying anything with a metallic component, any violation may lead to disqualification.

How early should I get to the exam centre on the day of the JEE examinations?

It is always better to reach the exam centre well before the reporting time, generally one and a half to two hours earlier. This grace time helps during verification, security checks, and final seating without any hustle or delay.

What Happens If I Forget My Photo ID or Admit Card?

Entry to the exam hall will be denied without possessing both the admit card and a valid photo ID. Double-checking the documents the day before the exam will help keep them ready and avoid any last-minute hassles. In case forgotten, try to retrieve them at the earliest.

Can I change my exam centre after the JEE admit card has been issued?
