MHT CET 2026 Mastery: Insider Tips on Do’s and Don’ts for Exam Day Success

MHT-CET, one of Maharashtra’s most sought-after entrance tests, is due to be held in the months of April and May. Candidates appearing for Pharma courses such as B.Pharma and D.Pharma will appear for the PCB test from April ownwards. On the other hand, candidates appearing for Engineering courses such as B.E and B.Tech will appear for the PCM test from May onwards. The exam conducting body – MHT CET cell – conducts the entrance test every year in Online or Computer Based Test (CBT) mode.

Now that the exam is so close, it is essential that you brace yourself for all the Do’s and Don’t’s to follow in the MHT CET 2026 exam. In this article, let’s try to go through all the Do’s and Don’t’s that will help you steer clear of any last-minute stress in your exam room.

Do’s for MHT-CET 2026

  • Try to sleep early the night before your exam if your exam is scheduled in the morning. Also, make sure you have a good sleep of 7-8 hours so that you don’t feel drowsy in the exam room.
  • After ensuring a good sleep, try to rise early as this will allow you good enough time to check all the exam preparedness.
  • Eat only homemade healthy food devoid of deep-fried items on the exam day. Include salad and fruits to keep you energized during the exam day.
  • Go through all the important formulas and concepts for a final revision before the exam.
  • Make sure you have two copies of your MHT CET Admit Card.
  • To avoid dehydration in the exam hall, carry a hygienic water bottle with potable water in it.
  • Prior to entering the exam hall, revisit your summary notes instantly.
  • Be attentive in the exam room and follow all the instructions of the invigilator.
  • Stay relaxed and calm in the exam hall and focus on the questions.
  • Try to start solving easier questions from your strongest section first. This will boost your confidence to approach the other sections.
  • For efficiency, make use of mental calculations. This will save you valuable time.

Don’t’s for MHT-CET 2026

  • Don’t consume unhealthy fast foods on or before the exam day. They can make you sick and inactive during the exam.
  • Don’t forget to bring hard copies of your MHT CET Admit Card 2024. Forgetting the admit card means a complete no from entering the exam hall.
  • Don’t forget to reach the exam venue at least half an hour before the exam begins. Generally, the entrance gates close 10-15 minutes before the start of the exam.
  • Don’t take food, electronic gadgets, mobile phones, and bags inside the exam hall. These are highly prohibited items and you won’t be allowed to enter the exam hall if you take these items with you.
  • Don’t start the paper with your weaker section. Starting exam with tough questions can hamper your confidence. Also, this can disturb your time management.

Documents you need for the MHT CET 2026 exam

On the exam day, make sure to take the essential documents for verification during entry to the exam hall. You can take one of the given below documents for verification:

  • Passport
  • Voter ID
  • Driving Licence
  • PAN Card
  • Passbook
  • College/University photo ID
