All About KCET: Admit Card, Exam Date, Syllabus, Exam Pattern

KCET is Karnataka’s state-level entrance test conducted by Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA). Generally referred to as the Karnataka Common Entrance Test, KCET is a gateway to professional courses such as Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharma), Diploma in Pharmacy (D.Pharma), Agriculture courses (Farm Science), Engineering Technology, and Veterinary courses. Students willing to get admitted to Dental or Medical or Unani or Homoeopathy or Ayurveda must pass the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET). On the other hand, students willing to get admitted to Architecture courses through KCET must have cleared JEE Main Paper 2 or NATA to take part in KCET counselling.

KCET Admit Card

KEA has released the KCET Admit card on their official website – kea.kar.nic.in. Those candidates who have already registered for KCET can download their admit card from the website mentioned. Candidates need to enter their application number and first four characters of their name to download the admit card. They need to carry their KCET admit card and one valid photo ID proof to the exam centre.

KCET 2026 Exam Date

KEA is expected on April 18 & 19,  in offline pen and paper mode.

We suggest candidates to keep track of KCET exam date so that they don’t miss any event related to the exam. On April 20, KEA will conduct KCET 2024 Kannada language exam. After a few days of the exam, KEA will release the KCET answer key. Candidates can raise objections in the KCET answer key if they find any discrepancy. After going through all the objections, the final answer key along with the KCET result will be made public on May 20. Successful candidates will be called for the KCET counselling.

On the official website of KEA, KCET syllabus can be checked. Candidates must check the KCET syllabus for their preparations. KCET syllabus is based on first and second PUC syllabus set by the Department of Pre-University Education of Karnataka State.
