Exam Day Guidelines for JEE Main Exams

Instructions for JEE Main

Only few days are remaining for the session 2 exam of JEE Main 2024 which is decided to be held in April 4, 5, 6, 8 and 9, 2024. NTA and all the JEE aspirants are all set to give exam as per the center guidelines. JEE Main Admit cards are also released at the official website of NTA but all the candidates can download the copy from the website when they are available. It is necessary for all the candidates to read all the instructions and code of conduct carefully before going for the exam.

Checklist of Do’s and Don’ts on the last day of JEE Main Exam

Do’s

  1. Always check the location and search possible ways to reach exam center one day before the exam. This is required to avoid last minute problem in reaching exam center.
  2. Always reach half an hour prior to the given time on the admit card.
  3. Check necessary documents before leaving for the exam center: Admit card, self-declaration form, one passport size photograph and valid ID proof.
  4. Fill all the details required in self-declaration form, put left hand thumb impression on it but, do not sign it. The signature is required in presence of invigilator in the exam center.
  5. Always wear your mask and gloves in the exam center, carry one hand sanitizer and sanitize hand frequently after touching any new object.
  6. Hand sanitizer is needed to be in a transparent bottle of 50 ml only.
  7. JEE aspirants can also carry their drinking water that too in transparent bottle.
  8. One transparent ball point pen can also be carried at the exam center.
  9. Wear light color and comfortable clothes keeping in mind the season and weather on the day of JEE exam.

Don’ts

  1. Do not carry your personal belongings at the exam center like hand bag or mobile phone. Authorities present at the exam center will not take responsibility of your personal belongings.
  2. Don’t cover your head with dupatta, cap etc. unless prior permission has been taken. If you wear Kara or kirpan due to religious reasons, you need to reach the JEE exam center 1.5 hours before the gate closing time and intimate the officials.
  3. Wrist watches are not allowed inside the exam center. So, don’t wear them.
  4. Avoid wearing jewelry, ornaments or carrying any other gadget at the exam center.
  5. Don’t wear any sunglasses or goggles at the exam center. They are not allowed inside exam hall.
  6. Footwear with thick soles and garments with large buttons are not allowed.

All the JEE aspirants are required to check all the important information to avoid last minute trouble. Always reach exam center before time to check the other information at the exam center.
