Now that JEE Main 2023 session 2 results are declared, the students who have qualified the exam are now eligible for JEE Advanced exam. The registration process for JEE Advanced 2023 exam has started from April 30 to May 7, 2023. The exam will be conducted on June 4. Eligible candidates can register for the exam at jeeadv.ac.in.
Eligibility Criteria
To apply for the JEE Advanced 2023 exam, you must adhere to the following criteria:
- Performance in JEE Main 2023: Candidates should be among the top 2,50,000 successful candidates (including all categories) in B.E./B.Tech. paper of JEE (Main) 2023.
- Age Limit: Candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1998. Five years of age relaxation is given to SC, ST, and PwD candidates, i.e. these candidates should have been born on or after October 1, 1993.
- Educational Qualification: Candidates must have passed the class 12 board exams with a minimum score of 75%. The required percentage for reserved categories is 65 %.
- Number of attempts: A candidate can attempt JEE Advance a maximum of two times in consecutive years. However, candidates who appeared for the JEE Advanced exam in 2021 are also eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2023.

Exam Pattern of JEE Advanced 2023
JEE Advanced 2023 exam is a computer-based entrance exam divided into two papers- Paper 1 and Paper 2, and both papers are mandatory to appear. Both Paper 1 And Paper 2 have the same pattern described as follows:
- The duration is of 3 hours.
- It consists of three sections – Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics.
- It contains a total of 54 questions, with each section having 18 questions.
- It is of objective type, and each question has four options with only one correct answer.
- It is conducted for a total of 306 marks, and each paper carries a total of 183 marks.
