Mistakes to Avoid in JEE Main 2021 Online Application Form

Application process for JEE Main 2021 February session has been started on the official website of National Testing Agency (NTA) i.e. nta.nic.in. Here, we are sharing the Mistakes to Avoid in JEE Main 2021 Online Application Form, which student tends to do while filling the online forms. Various changes has been done in JEE Main exam format, exam conduction and application forms as well. It is necessary for all the JEE Main aspirants to keep all these changes in mind while filling JEE Main 2021 application forms.

JEE Main aspirants have to fill their personal details like Name, address, ID proofs, Education qualifications, Choice of exam centre and language very carefully to avoid errors. If candidate make errors then they have the option to change the details by using the edit option available on the admission form portal. But, it can only be used before submitting application fee. Mistakes to Avoid in JEE Main 2021 Online Application Form:

  1. Submitting Application form with wrong information – Carefully read all the information given about application form filling. Check filled application form twice before the final submission. In case, a JEE aspirants submit form with incorrect data and pay the fee, then, they have to wait for NTA correction window to open. There are several changes done in JEE Main 2021 exam form, read carefully and don’t get confused.
  2. Booking right slot as per your preference – Usually students pay so much attention to other information that they forget or miss this detail, the slot booking. No worries, NTA will allow the candidate to add missing detail or rectify errors in correction window? If still candidate do not fill the left entry, then NTA will automatically fill it.

  1. Don’t forget to apply for the JEE Main 2021 exam February session – It is recommended to apply for the February session of JEE Main 2021 exam. In case, candidate is unable to appear for the exam then they can request to apply for next attempt once the registration for the March examination would open. The examination application fee will be carried forward.
  2. Fail to upload a self-attest photograph in the application form – A self-attested photograph is needed to upload in online JEE Main 2021 Application form. But, if a candidate forgets to do so then their JEE Main application will not get cancelled. Candidate can put their e-signature later on on their photograph.
  3. Error in filling choice of city for examination centre – It is advisable to choose the city for exam centre very carefully. It is already cleared by Education minister that the government will try to assign the first choice of city to the candidates. In JEE Main application form 2021, candidates can select 3 cities as per their preferences. This year due to COVID19, government will try to allot the first city of choice by the students. So, select carefully and recheck exam form before submitting information.

  1. Choosing exam language in form – Unlike previous years, JEE Main 2021 is going to be held in 12 different languages, apart from English. These languages are Hindi, Urdu, Assamese, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil and Telugu. Students can select their preferred language but only on the basis of exam centre opted. For example, a candidate can select Marathi as the exam language, only if he/ she select Maharashtra for exam centre or vice versa.
