NEET 2021 Application Form Release Date? –Form Delay Floods the Social Media with Postponement Conversation

NEET UG 2021 Application form release date is yet to be announced by NTA (National testing Agency) with only 45 days left for the main NEET 2021 exam. At the beginning of this year, NTA declared that it would be on 1st August 2021. The delays in NEET 2021 application forms floats a postponement conversation about this medical entrance exam.

Every year more than 15 lakh students appear for the exam; till 2020, CBSE/NTA conducted it in pen and paper mode. This year also, NTA declared the NEET UG 2021 exam in pen and paper mode with internal choices to balance the 30% reduction in the syllabus for the academic year 2020 -2021. As the second wave of COVID-19 hit the nation, the Education ministry postponed various exams along with JEE Main and NEET PG. NEET aspirants were anticipating the same with NEET UG 2021 exam but, there are no updates on the NEET exam till now. Neither the application form are release nor the postponement of the exam is in the news. Students are in a complete puzzle.

Agitation in Students

Bewildered and anxious NEET aspirants are demanding either cancellation or postponement of the NEET UG exam till October. Various academicians and politicians have come forward to support these students to raise the voice of NEET UG 2021 medical exam cancellation.

A Letter to PM

Recently, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin had asked for the cancelation of the NEET 2021 exam. He wrote a letter to PM to raise his concern about the student’s safety. He said, “conducting national level entrance exams for any professional course would be detrimental to students’ health and wellbeing.”

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister held a meeting with the PM to discuss the impact of these national-level entrance tests on the health and safety of students.

Steps taken by the Tamil Nadu Government

The Tamil Nadu government has set up a committee to examine the impact of NEET on medical admissions. The committee is also going to take the public opinion on this matter.

Students are raising concern and demand for NEET-UG 2021 exam adjournment, but, till now, there are no updates on it. At the start of the session, the Education Ministry released certain information about the NEET 2021 exam, like the pen and paper more of exam and internal choices to the students. But, it didn’t release any detailed information about the NEET UG 2021 exam. NEET aspirants are still waiting for the form release and details about the exam format.

Major Change in NEET 2021 Exam

If the Education Ministry conducts NEET UG 2021, there will be significant changes in the exam format to ensure students’ safety and wellbeing. One of the government’s changes this year is to allot five MBBS seats to the children of COVID-warriors through NEET counseling.

What NEET aspirant needs to do?
