In the latest update from the NMC (National Medical Commission) on 6 October 2023, it has been announced that the syllabus for the NEET 2024 exam, scheduled to be held on 5th May, 2024, has undergone a reduction. NTA has also started the application process for NEET UG on 9 February 2024, which is to end on 9 March 2024. The previous syllabus comprising of 97 chapters has now been condensed to a total of 79 chapters across the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Biology. This rationalization of content within the NEET 2024 syllabus has been inspired by the rationalization of content witnessed in the NCERT syllabus.

While certain portions of the NEET syllabus have been deleted, there have also been additions made to the content. To provide a comprehensive overview of the changes, the deleted and added syllabi have been structured in a tabular format, organized and segregated by subjects.

The new NEET 2024 syllabus of Physics brings about significant changes. 8 topics, previously included, have been omitted, while 10 new topics and 1 chapter have been introduced. This revision aims to align the syllabus with the evolving trends in the field of Physics and ensure that students are well-prepared for the examination. This new and updated syllabus will equip students with the necessary knowledge and skills to excel in the NEET 2024 exam and excel in their MBBS journey. List of Topics Added and Deleted from NEET 2024 Biology Syllabus

The Biology syllabus for NEET 2024 has undergone substantial changes. 7 topics and 6 chapters that were previously covered have been deleted, and 7 new topics have been added, however there are 3 chapters and 1 topic that were deleted in revised NCERT textbooks still remain in the NEET 29024 syllabus. The purpose of this revision of NEET 2024 the syllabus is to prepare students for experiential learning and reduce the burden of vast syllabus. By encompassing these updates, students will acquire the essential knowledge and abilities to perform exceptionally well in the NEET 2024 examination and succeed in their MBBS journey. List of Topics Added and Deleted from NEET 2024 Chemistry Syllabus

NMC has brough vast changes in NEET 2024 syllabus to reduce the burden of the rote learning and to promote conceptual learning. In the Updated NEET 2024 Syllabus of Chemistry, 9 whole units have been deleted and 1 new unit is added. 2 units which were previously deleted in the revised NCERT textbooks still remains in the syllabus. The NEET 2024 syllabus change was long due as the with changing times it has to be upgraded to stay relevant. The updated & new NEET syllabus may potentially reduce the burden on students by eliminating outdated or redundant topics. This allows students to focus more on mastering the essential concepts and skills necessary for their respective exams, rather than having to spend time on topics that may no longer be relevant. The NMC syllabus change also helps in aligning the curriculum with any changes in the exam pattern or format. As exam patterns evolve, it is essential for students to be familiar with the latest requirements and expectations.
