Important Dates for JEE Main Registration, Admit Card, and Results (Session 1 and 2)

Eligibility Criteria for JEE Main 2025
Candidates must have passed class 12 either in 2023 or 2024. Those appearing in class 12 exams are also eligible for the JEE exam. Although there is no cap on the minimum percentage needed to appear in JEE Main, candidates must obtain at least 75% in class 12 in order to become eligible for top engineering colleges, such as IITs, NITs, or IIITs. Also, they must have Mathematics as a mandatory subject in class 12. Apart from this, there is no age limit to apply for JEE Main.

Exam Mode, Duration, and Other Details for JEE Main
JEE Main is a computer-based test (CBT). This means it is conducted in online mode. The duration of JEE Main is 3 hours. On the other hand, the duration for PwD candidates is 4 hours. The application fee for JEE Main ranges from INR 500 to 1000 depending upon the categories of students. There is a total of 90 questions from Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Candidates obtain 4 marks each for correct answers while 1 mark each is deducted for incorrect answers.
