JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is conducted by National Testing Service (NTA) every year for students seeking admission to the top engineering colleges in India like IIT, NIT, IISc, etc. JEE Main takes place in two sessions session 1 and session 2, students can appear for one or both sessions, and the best score will be taken into consideration for the JEE Advanced 2024 exam. Yes, there is a provision for negative marking in the JEE Main 2024 exam. For every incorrect answer in the multiple-choice questions, for each correct answer, 4 marks are awarded and for each wrong answer, 1 mark is deducted as per the marking scheme. However, for the numerical answer-type questions, there is no negative marking.

  1. How is JEE Main conducted, online or offline?

National Testing Agency (NTA) conducts JEE Main 2024 exam in an online computer-based test (CBT) format. JEE Main exam is conducted for three courses- B.Tech, B.Arch and B. Plan. The JEE Main exam for B.Tech and B. Plan is completely online while the exam for B.Arch is partially online and drawing part is conducted offline.
